A little bit about myself
I was born in London and attended the Liceo Artistico in Rome in the Seventies studying art, architecture and design.
It was during these years that I first started taking photographs. After art school I worked in the film business for a couple of years at Rome’s Cinecitta’ studios.
When I moved back to England I opened a photographic studio in West London, not far from Hammersmith Broadway. Around this same time I had a brief flirtation with photo-journalism working for Scandinavian daily newspapers Dagbladet and Aftonbladet. I soon realised that waiting for Bjorn Borg to leave the Holiday Inn in Swiss Cottage wasn’t my cup of tea (that gives you a clue of how long ago we are talking about!).
I decided to concentrate on portraiture as well as actors and model’s portfolios with a few musicians thrown in for good measure. I still really enjoy this sort of work to this day. The thing that really gives me a buzz is showing people in their best light. Seeing a satisfied client is paramount to me.
I have exhibited my work in the UK and am planning a European exhibition for 2008. My photos have been published in the UK, Europe, Africa, USA and Australia.
Outside of photography I run an engine tuning business. I have also managed a successful factory sponsored motorcycle race team with three National Championship wins in the UK. I can also take credit for lap records and International race wins in Europe and the USA.
I live with my two talented teenage sons. My eldest, Rob, is a musician and my youngest, Tom, is studying photography and film-making. He in fact took the photo of me to the left whilst in Rome where I was working on a book project.
